Responding to flooding disaster in Kerala, India

In late July, the state of Kerala, India was devastated by severe flooding due to unusually high rainfall during the monsoon season. Over 10,000 kms of roads have been wrecked and more than 20,000 homes destroyed. The flooding and aftermath of the natural disaster continues. To date, over 300 people have died and more than 1 million people have been displaced and are living in relief camps, including more than 175,000 children under the age of 12.

In an effort to support people in Kerala who have been impacted by this disaster, the Archdiocese of Toronto is accepting funds that will be channelled through the Kerala Catholic Bishops' Council.
