It was no accident that the Enlightenment took place in a culture formed by Judeo-Christian thought, according to Samuel Gregg, research director at the Acton Institute.

The genius of Western Civilization, Gregg says, is the understanding that faith and reason balance each other. But that balance is increasingly under attack in a society that sees faith and reason as incompatible.

All are welcome to join Samuel Gregg for the latest “Faith and Reason” virtual lecture being livestreamed from the Newman Centre Catholic Mission at the University of Toronto’s St. George Campus, happening on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020 from 7 to 8 p.m.

Gregg will discuss how many of the atrocities of the 20th century stem from an imbalance of faith and reason. He will also chart a path for the renewal of this relationship in our society today.

Those who would like to join the webinar on Thursday, Sept. 10 starting at 7 p.m. can register here.
