A Gift of Prayer for Pope Francis

In recognition of the tenth anniversary of the pontificate of Pope Francis on March 13, an online prayer initiative has been created.

All are welcome to participate in offering one or more Hail Marys for Pope Francis on or before his anniversary on Monday, March 13, 2023. Participants are encouraged to light a virtual candle to let the Holy Father know that we are praying for him using this online tool.

Salt + Light Media will be hosting an online rosary in celebration of this occasion which can be accessed on their Facebook page. This live streamed prayer will take place March 13 at 4 p.m. ET.

Pope Francis’ papacy began on March 13, 2013 after his predecessor Pope Benedict XVI announced his resignation due to the physical and mental demands of the position. Francis was born Jorge Mario Bergoglio on December 17, 1936 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and was first ordained a priest in December of 1969. As we recognize this special anniversary, please continue to pray for the Holy Father, his health and ongoing ministry.
